On this episode of the Bourbon Friday Show, we had the opportunity to talk to Samantha Lee, Host of CreativeMornings St. Louis.
CreativeMornings—Encouraging Diverse Creativity
Once a month, in over 70 cities around the world, people gather together for coffee, breakfast, and to stoke the coals of creativity.
CreativeMornings began in New York City after Swiss designer Tina Roth Eisenberg was looking to connect with other creatives. Now, CreativeMornings is 200 chapters strong and has one overarching goal: proving that everyone can be creative.
“There’s so much innovation going on in the world, whether that’s sciences, healthcare, geospatial—there’s no lack of creative thought leadership, and we want everybody to come and be a part of the conversation and get people together who think differently,” says Lee.
The CreativeMornings feature a creative from the local community who speaks about a topic chosen by headquarters at the beginning of each month. Additionally, there’s coffee, breakfast and networking—and it all happens before work.
CreativeMornings are free to attend so there’s no barrier to contribute to and benefit from creatives in the St. Louis community.

As always, the Bourbon Friday team does their best to choose a fitting drink for the occasion.
The bottle this week was Bourbon from Watershed Distillery. Founded in Columbus, OH, Watershed Distillery began producing an array of spirits in 2010. Several years later the founders of Watershed Distillery, Greg Lehman and Dave Rigo, spoke at a CreativeMornings event on the topic of risk—an appropriate subject for two entrepreneurs who quit full-time jobs to start Watershed.
