Stadia Ventures, St. Louis’ new sports accelerator, announced 11 finalists for its inaugural fall 2015 cohort at a launch event last night at T-REX.

Cofounded by Tim Hayden, director of St. Louis University’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Art Chou, a former Rawlings Sporting Goods exec, Stadia will invest up to $100,000 in five companies every six months, provide mentorship and help them make connections in the sports-business space.
The accelerator will be managed by Cultivation Capital, who also manages the accelerators for SixThirty, Capital Innovators, Prosper and Yield Labs. The Stadia Academy arm will educate retired athletes and sports executives on becoming better entrepreneurs, investors and business people.

This Hanover, New Hampshire company offers portable replay that helps athletes and teams get better faster.
The San Francisco-based app helps athletes of all skill levels and ages achieve their dreams by learning from the best coaches and athletes in the world.
Leif makes the one and only eSnowboard for year-round shredding anywhere in the world.
EON, a Kansas City-based startup, helps athletes take their game to the next level with innovative Virtual Reality technology.
The St. Louis-based finalist created a proprietary ergonomic knob for baseball, hockey and golf that increases performance and reduces injuries.
From Omaha, Nebraska, Racenote is a motorsports management platform that makes race teams faster.
Red Rock Apps
Based in Minsk, Belarus, this company crested Running For Weight Loss, the only running app designed specially for weight loss.
The St. Louis-based company creates fully personalized baseball cards for all of life’s big games.
This Los Angeles-based company created an app that allows fans to order their concessions, merchandise and VIP experiences in-seat.
Based in Orlando, Florida, Winning Identity provides golf software solutions to help bring everything golf to one centralized location.
The five companies selected to participate in the inaugural fall 2015 cohort will be announced on September 16.
