The Soulard School had debated how best to join a team of educators, designers and web developers in order to improve learning experiences for kids in the St. Louis area. That’s when its teachers found out about the Google-powered Startup Weekend: Education, which leverages entrepreneurial ideas to help change education opportunities.

Coming to town from Jan. 16-18, Startup Weekend: Education will share ideas with a unique group of participants, innovators and designers. The idea is to streamline these concepts and ideas, create small teams and plan to execute those visions. A panel of judges—made up of prominent educators from St. Louis—picks the best ideas and helps make them a reality.

Those who are educators in town can purchase tickets to Startup Weekend: Education for $49 per person. This includes four meals, snacks, coffee and access to the event’s full list of activities. Startup Weekend: Education takes place at Cambridge Innovation Center on 4240 Duncan Ave.
