Innovating the Innovation Community—Best Practices for Inclusion

November 5, 2015 @ 4:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free

Pitch: How can innovation hubs evolve? See what research in the St. Louis area has found!

Description: Researchers from the Kauffman Foundation, the University of Massachusetts, the University of North Carolina, and Wharton Business School have talked to over 70 entrepreneurs in the St. Louis region to better understand inclusion – specifically gender inclusion – in an entrepreneurial community. They will share examples of best practices that other cities can take away from St. Louis, as well as suggestions for what can make the region even stronger.

Panel Discussion: After a short presentation of findings, there will be a back-and-forth panel discussion on general inclusion. This will include three entrepreneurs and three representatives of support organizations. Panel members include: Pravina Pindoria (Tallyfy), Tom Cohen (NanoporeDx), Sean Armstrong (Tuloko), Mary Jo Gorman (Prosper), Cliff Holekamp (Cultivation Capital), and Cheryl Watkins-Moore (BioSTL).

After the panel discussion, please join us for further discussion in the James Crutchfield room!
