Capital Innovators Demo Day 2018

Capital Innovators is showcasing twelve of their latest investments at their annual Demo Day on May 15th, 2018. The event takes place in St. Louis at The Pageant, one of the regionโ€™s premiere concert venues.

The presenting startups come from all around the world. Capital Innovatorsโ€™ most geographically diverse cohort yet includes startups from up-and-coming international startup cities like Mexico City, Singapore, and Denver, to already developed hubs like San Francisco and New York City.

Their products range from IoT, AI, SaaS, Marketplaces, CPG, Machine Learning, and Blockchain. Of the twelve companies, five have a female founder on the executive team. Thatโ€™s more than double the average rate of reported female-led startup teams in 2017.

Capital Innovators selected these 12 companies out of over 860 applications from 56 countries and 35 states. During the three-month program in Saint Louis, the companies validate their business models, test new strategies for growth, and hone their pitch for follow-on investment, amongst other business development activities.

Demo Day in St. Louis provides an opportunity for each startup founder to tell their story, share their traction to date, and illustrate the ultimate visions for their company as they enter the next level in their growth trajectories.

Capital Innovators, founded in 2010 by Judy Sindecuse, has helped catalyze the St. Louis tech scene through its top 10 ranked accelerator program.

โ€œAt Capital Innovators, we believe that a startupโ€™s success comes down to the people involved in the effort and how they work together as a team,” says Sindecuse, CEO and Managing Partner of Capital Innovators. “We lean on regional strengths, an incredible network of mentors, and a hands-on, high-touch curriculum to keep our pipeline strong and continue investing in great businesses.”

In addition to the startups, the Demo Day will feature the Founder & CEO of Better Weekdays, Chris Motley, as the keynote speaker. Better Weekdays is a venture-backed startup that helps university recruiters access diverse student talent. A local success story of the St. Louis startup scene and a portfolio company of Capital Innovators, Better Weekdays is now one of the largest technology companies in the college recruiting vertical.
