Whether you’re looking to network or just blow off some steam (hopefully a bit of both), here is what’s happening this week.

Tech.Co Startup Of The Year Online Competition
Tues., 8/4
Tech.Co has been rallying startup ecosystems across the world on their search for the top startups. It goes like this: local startups apply online by Tuesday, August 4. If your company gets chosen to compete, it will have the chance to win either a reader’s choice contest via online voting that runs Aug. 6-18, or an award from Tech.Co. Both semifinalists will go on to compete at Tech.Co’s Celebrate 2015 event this fall in Las Vegas. Feeling lucky? Apply on Tech.Co’s website by Tuesday.

Global Coworking Week
Dock in somewhere new every day this week. The five member spaces of the St. Louis League of Independent Coworking Spaces (Claim, Hive@44, Lab1500, Nebula and TechArtista) are all offering free coworking in honor of Global Coworking Week. Register for your pass online and then stop by anytime this week for 100% free desk time, and assumably plenty of coffee.

Venture Cafe
Thurs., 8/6, 3pm-8pm
CIC@4240, 4240 Duncan Ave., Midtown
This week’s lineup includes two special breakouts by whose titles we’re especially intrigued:  “How To Not Lose Millions of Dollars,” put on by the St. Louis Product Management Group, and “Want To Be a (Mock) Shark?” put up on by Washington University Skandalaris Center, in which you can give feedback to pitches by Skandalaris Center summer interns on their venture projects.
