With the move, the company will hire more than 20 employees over the next several months to support operations with plans to move into the new Chesterfield facilities in coordinated waves to avoid disruptions to retail and vendor partners.
“With our Kansas City Animal Health Corridor making up more than 56 percent of the world’s total animal health research, diagnostics and pet food sales, Missouri is at the center of animal health innovation,” said Gov. Jay Nixon in a statement. “Solid Gold Pet’s decision to join Missouri’s growing community of animal-focused companies further solidifies our global leadership in this industry while creating high-paying jobs for families in our state.”
