Sling Health, formerly known as IDEA Labs, is a network of medical bioengineering, design and entrepreneurship incubators at top universities around the country. Originally founded in 2013 at Washington University in St. Louis, Sling Health now collaborates with other universities including Harvard, MIT, U. Pennsylvania, U. Michigan, Tulane, LSU, Georgia Tech and Emory.

Sling Health forms teams of medical, engineering, and business students–with mentorship from faculty, healthcare professionals, and local entrepreneurs–to tackle unmet needs in healthcare delivery and clinical medicine. Its annual Demo Day, which is free and open to the public, is the program’s capstone event where teams from across the country will present entrepreneurial solutions they have developed for a variety of medical fields, from primary care to surgery.
